(Patria) - The Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska did not reach an agreement today on the amendment of the Bosniak People's Club to the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska regarding the initiation of a vital national interest, so this case will be considered at tomorrow's session of the Joint Commission of the National Assembly and the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska.
The Chairman of the Bosniak Club in the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska, Alija Tabaković, said that he expects no agreement to be reached at the session of the Joint Commission of the Republika Srpska and the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska, and that this case will end up before the Constitutional Court of the RS.
Tabaković believes that this law is harmful primarily for all citizens of the Republika Srpska, but also for the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"This could ultimately cost Bosnia and Herzegovina in its progress towards membership in the European Union," Tabaković assessed.
The National Assembly of the Republika Srpska recently adopted the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska.
