(Patria) - Delegate in the House of Peoples of the PSBiH Radovan Kovačević (SNSD) reiterated today that there is no High Representative in BiH, and that the last one was Valentin Inzko.
- He resigned, and after him, no one was ever elected. Annex 10 clearly states how the High Representative is elected.
Regarding Schmidt, he has neither a UN Security Council resolution nor verification from the signatory countries. He has no right to impose anything or interfere.
One body is called upon to pass laws - that is the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH - Kovačević said.
Speaking about the ruling made in Strasbourg, Kovačević emphasizes that they want Republika Srpska to become part of the EU. He pointed out that when such rulings are made, it is forgotten that the Dayton Peace Agreement guaranteed civil rights for every individual, but also protected collective rights.
- If it can do so according to what it was given in Dayton, then RS can join the EU. Only in this way can we become part of the EU.
Without the competencies we have under Dayton, we want nothing. We are often accused by FBiH of approaching the Dayton Peace Agreement like a buffet, that is not true.
We adhere to the letter of Dayton. RS and FBiH, three constituent peoples, common level, consensus, we are ready to be part of that, and if someone says they don't care what we think, then they won't have our support - Kovačević stated.
"If the solution is for BiH to be called 'Komšić and Komšić', or whatever else, that is certainly something where they will not find a partner in RS. We believe that the only concept on which BiH can exist is Dayton BiH with two entities and three constituent peoples," he concluded.
He adds that something that centralizes and leads to unitarism is put on the agenda every week.
- We want cooperation and to work in the interest of all peoples, but if you think every day about how to take away the rights given to us, then count on us not getting tired of protecting guaranteed rights - Kovačević conveyed.
Speaking about the amendments to the Election Law of BiH, he stated that RS has had a solution for the 'Sejdić-Finci' ruling for a long time, but that an agreement cannot be reached in FBiH.
- We will never allow the guaranteed constitutional rights of the constituent peoples to be diminished - Kovačević concluded.
