Who Tries to Present Ethnic Division as a 'Compromise'

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the Novinska agencija Patria, through the articles "Who is implementing Dragan Čović's plan in Sarajevo" and "Who is trying to impose ethnic politics on SDP", thoroughly analyzed the current political plans for the ethnic division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the issue of amending the Election Law of BiH, Dnevni avaz, a newspaper under the political control of SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić, has spoken out.

Dnevni avaz and Radončić were particularly bothered by the fact that Patria called things by their real name, i.e., published what most citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, let alone political actors, already know very well.

Fahrudin Radončić himself does not hide his fondness for HDZ leader Dragan Čović, the only politician who congratulated him yesterday on his re-election as SBB president. This is not just a small sign of Čović's attention to Radončić, which was previously manifested through Čović's prison visits to Radončić.

This is about a complete ideological-political agreement with Radončić's (and even Konaković's and Kukić's) diligent efforts aimed at ensuring the so-called legitimate representation of Croats, i.e., aimed at ensuring an ethnic concept bordering on fascism. The same fascism for which the founders of the so-called Herceg Bosna are serving time around the world, a fascism of which Radončić's ally, Dragan Čović, is a faithful and consistent successor.

The well-intentioned anti-fascist suggestion that Novinska agencija Patria made to the Social Democratic Party, which consists of the anti-fascist and civic SDP being wary of Radončić's, Konaković's, and Kukić's aspirations to push ethnic politics of so-called legitimate representation of peoples into the "opposition" bloc, Dnevni avaz calls an attempt to sow discord.

Encouraging an anti-fascist and civic option not to succumb to the import of ethnic politics into its environment, and to remain true to its civic principles, is of course not discord. Calling it discord is actually the mark of a troublemaker, who, because of his interest and partnership with politics that has been judged in The Hague, wants the SDP BiH to betray its anti-fascist and civic dignity, which most people of civic-secular orientation would find hard to forgive the SDP.

Therefore, it is very clear that Radončić, like Bulgakov's cat Behemoth, is the one sowing discord and changing his (political) forms depending on the need and the moment. But what is the essence of this ability to disguise himself, to try to convince that he is the force that does evil but always wishes good?

Avaz writes that NAP is carrying out "an attempt to sow discord among the increasingly united opposition and an attempt to weaken compromise in a way that does not weaken Izetbegović's negotiating position against Dodik and Čović", and no one has advocated for the unification of civic political options as strongly as this media outlet.

In the breaks between Radončić celebrating Čović's and Dodik's birthdays, he is actually, underestimating the intelligence of the entire Bosnian public, trying to convey that, in his opinion, no one should hinder Izetbegović in a potential attempt to appease Čović, and least of all should the SDP do so (he believes DF is not even capable of it).

Dnevni avaz and Radončić call this hindrance "an attempt to weaken the compromise with Čović". That is why Dnevni avaz and Radončić are irritated by Patria's assessment that what is a compromise between Čović and Izetbegović in Radončić's eyes is undoubtedly the ethnic division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which Radončić is clearly making great efforts.

The aforementioned literally appeals to the entire public to create easier conditions for Izetbegović to betray the country, by signing amendments to the Election Law according to Čović's wishes, which, according to Radončić, should be declared a compromise, all with the support of certain ill-intentioned international actors who, analyzing which domestic politicians could best play the role of a Trojan horse in the pro-Bosnian bloc, have correctly placed all their bets on Radončić.

However, since that plan has been exposed, which deeply disturbs Dnevni avaz, and since (if Konaković and Kukić lack sense) the Social Democratic Party of BiH is not without sense, the intensity of Radončić's rage has been directed at NAP.

Unfortunately for Radončić, neither NAP, nor civic parties, nor that "opposition bloc", nor the entire civic public will stop hindering both Radončić's plans and Izetbegović's potential appeasement of Čović, especially knowing that such appeasement, which Radončić calls a "compromise", would be a complete betrayal of the country. We will gladly continue to hinder the betrayal of the country that seeks to disguise itself as Radončić's compromise.
