(Patria) - On December 5, numerous incidents were recorded in the Sarajevo Canton area, including a shooting, a traffic accident with serious consequences, and several arrests in separate police operations, the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior (MUP KS) announced.

The most serious incident was recorded around noon in Vrbanjuša Street, Stari Grad municipality, where an unknown person fired at 42-year-old A.I. from Sarajevo. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries, and the duty prosecutor classified the event as attempted murder. An investigation was conducted by MUP KS officers.

In the early morning hours from Thursday to Friday, officers of the Vogošća Police Station arrested 41-year-old I.A. on suspicion of possessing and enabling the use of narcotic drugs. On the same day, officers of the Centar Police Station arrested 30-year-old N.H. on suspicion of robbery. Both suspects were handed over to official detention facilities.

A serious traffic accident occurred at 4:25 PM at the intersection of Paromlinska and Ložionička streets, when a Porsche Cayenne, driven by A.N. (40), struck a 31-year-old female pedestrian I.G. at a marked pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Sarajevo University Clinical Center (UKC Sarajevo). An investigation was conducted by police officers and a court expert.

In the evening hours, a physical altercation between three individuals occurred in Republike Bugarske Street. Dobrinja Police Station officers arrested A.S. (1993), A.S. (1998), and E.S. (1996), who are suspected of committing grievous bodily harm and damaging another person's property.

During yesterday, MUP KS police officers conducted intensified traffic controls, during which they filed 65 requests for initiating misdemeanor proceedings, issued 2,038 misdemeanor orders, and excluded 35 drivers and vehicles from traffic due to various violations, including alcohol, drugs, technical defects, and driving without a license.
