Another path built at Stojčevac, new facilities planned

(Patria) - The renovation and rehabilitation of Stojčevac is an ongoing process that will surely continue, but the popular picnic area offers visitors new facilities from time to time.

After a wooden path was built around the lake at Stojčevac last year, this year the project continued through cooperation with the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Areas of Sarajevo.

"The mutual cooperation between the Municipality of Ilidža and the KJU, led by Asad Jelešković, has yielded excellent results in the previous period, which are clearly visible on the ground and are easily recognized and noticed by all visitors to Stojčevac," emphasized the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur.

In addition to another wooden path, Stojčevac also got a wooden swing by the lake, which is an ideal place for taking great photos.

"I believe that we will soon have more new facilities at our gem at the foot of Igman, which everyone used to avoid, and now it is one of the most desirable locations for excursions for school and preschool children," said Muzur, adding:

"It is up to us to ensure that they enjoy themselves there and are safe."

Two basketball courts were recently renovated at Stojčevac, and there are plans to build a small football field with artificial turf.
