Carried a weapon: Salko Zildžić arrested at the border with Serbia, is in custody

(Patria) - Federal MP Salko Zildžić was arrested two days ago while attempting to enter Serbia, Istraga.ba has confirmed.

Zildžić was arrested because a pistol was found in his car during a search at the border. Although Zildžić has a permit to carry a weapon, he did not have the right to bring the weapon into another country, in this case, Serbia.

Zildžić is currently in custody in Serbia.

According to Istraga.ba, Zildžić intended to travel through Serbia to attend preparations. However, before leaving, he allegedly forgot to remove the pistol for which he had a permit from his car. When he arrived at the border crossing near Bratunac, Serbian police searched his car and found the pistol. Given that, regardless of the permit, he could not carry the pistol across the border, Zildžić was arrested and immediately taken into custody.
