Hafiz Amir Mahić from Mecca: I believe there is no Bosniak who has not prayed for his homeland and his soil in Mecca

(Patria) - Among the 2,200 this year's pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina is Hafiz Amir-ef. Mahić, the chief imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community (MIZ) Kozarac.

The MINA agency spoke with Hafiz Mahić about impressions from the Hajj, as well as about the homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"There are many emotions that could be shared, but they are difficult to describe in words. I expected even larger crowds, but somehow this year it was bearable. We completed everything with ease and that makes us all happy. Coming to the Hajj as a family is a special blessing. This time I had many friends on the Hajj, and with me this year on the Hajj are my older children, my son and daughter. This is my sixth time on the Hajj, but regardless of the repetition, each time I experience a new experience that helps me, that enriches me. Those moments are related to the Haram and Arafat, regardless of the high temperatures," said Hafiz Mahić.

Numerous pilgrims during their stay in Mecca and Medina prayed for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"I believe there is no Bosniak who has not very often prayed for his homeland and his soil. Allah will accept the prayers, someone's prayer will be accepted. I pray to Allah to help us and Bosnia and Herzegovina, that it may await the Sur-Israfil, to weaken our enemies. The pilgrims used these moments to remember their people and their homeland, and that makes me very happy and optimistic," Mahić points out.

The Hafiz emphasizes that he is satisfied with the organization of this year's Hajj.

"We always tell people that they must have a lot of patience and endurance on the Hajj. The Hajj is a difficulty, it must have its difficulties and trials. Materially, a person must see that the worldly life is worthless. On the Hajj, a person sees some symbols of the afterlife, sees some symbols of the Day of Judgment, sees symbols of Muslim unity. You saw what kind of landscapes we encounter after Arafat, no one will misunderstand that, those remnants of trash. Precisely so, the worldly life is a big garbage dump, from time to time, which we must understand that way, so as not to fall in love with it. I am very satisfied with this year's organization, especially since there have never been so many of us, that is, 2,200 pilgrims. May Allah richly reward and help the entire leadership of this year's Hajj organization and the Office for Hajj and Umrah," said Hafiz Mahić.

The first plane with our pilgrims should take off from Jeddah for Sarajevo on Tuesday, July 4. It is planned that all pilgrims will return by the evening of July 7.
