(Patria) - The first group of 147 pilgrims, out of a total of 300 coming from the Bihać Muftiate area, arrived in Mecca tonight.
They started their journey last night, they are tired, but happy and satisfied. Tonight they will encounter the Kaaba, and for most of them, this will be the first time in their lives.
"Our pilgrimage journey from Krajina, to Sarajevo, Jeddah, and now to Mecca, went without any major problems. Traveling by buses, by plane, and constant waiting is tiring and difficult.
The older people are tired, but thank God everything went well," this year's guide Muhamed-ef. Begić told MINA Agency.
The pilgrims gathered early this morning upon arrival in Sarajevo at the "King Fahd" Mosque, where they put on ihrams.
"We were welcomed warmly. This is the first time in many years that pilgrims in ihrams from Bosnia and Herzegovina are going on Hajj. It was a beautiful event, to experience something that is part of Hajj right away in Sarajevo," said Begić.
The pilgrims who arrived tonight will perform Umrah. They will head to the Haram Sharif a little before midnight, and it is planned that they will complete all rituals by the dawn prayer.
Two more groups of pilgrims are expected to arrive in Mecca tomorrow, one in the morning (flight from Sarajevo June 7 at 9:20 PM), and the other whose plane will depart from Sarajevo International Airport tomorrow at 10:05 AM.
