
(Patria) - The Service for Foreigners' Affairs, based on collected operational intelligence, obtained information that two citizens of the Russian Federation from the Chechnya region entered the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mentioned individuals have been marked as security-relevant and are linked to terrorism, thus posing a potential threat to national security.
"In cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency, an urgent and coordinated operational action was carried out with the aim of locating and placing the mentioned individuals under surveillance. Through operational work, the individuals were quickly identified and found in the Sarajevo area, after which, in accordance with applicable regulations, a surveillance measure was imposed on them and they were placed in the Immigration Center in East Sarajevo. Upon completion of all legally prescribed procedures, on October 17, 2025, the mentioned individuals were removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue, in the coming period, in cooperation with the competent security agencies, to take all legally prescribed measures and actions aimed at preserving national security and protecting citizens," the SPS stated.
