DF Sarajevo: Okerić must resign, and the prosecutor's office must conduct an investigation

(Patria) - Democratic Front (DF) Sarajevo issued a statement after information surfaced that the KS and the President of the KS Assembly Elvedin Okerić, to their party colleagues, Minister Adnan Delić and NiP organization president in Srebrenica Sejdalija Suljić, and to the associations they founded, paid more than 200,000 KM.

DF called on Okerić to resign from his position as soon as possible.

"President Okerić must not continue to hold his position if even a shred of integrity of the Assembly and the Canton of Sarajevo is to be preserved.

This is not the first time public funds have been illegally transferred to party organizations, and it is likely that an analysis of grant allocations will uncover more problematic funding of associations, but this case indicates particular arrogance, where funds are given directly to party officials.

Also, we expect the prosecutor's office to conduct a thorough investigation into this case, in order to finally put an end to the corruption and abuse of power that we have been witnessing for decades," said the Sarajevo DF.
