DF Mostar: Commendation for MUP HNK, Mayor Kordić irresponsibly raised national tensions

(Patria) - The City Organization of Democratic Front Mostar hereby congratulates the members of the MUP HNK on their swift reaction and the apprehension of the suspect for the arson of the City of Mostar's vehicle used by Mayor Mario Kordić.

"We condemn all forms of violence and are glad that no member of the Kordić family was injured, and we hope that the sanctioning of those responsible will contribute to us not witnessing such incidents in our city again.

However, we must condemn the narrative and irresponsible behavior of HDZ BiH and Mayor Kordić, who after this incident attempted to link the arson to national tensions in the City of Mostar, tensions which they themselves most often fuel daily.

Now that the MUP has found the responsible parties and it is clear to all citizens of Mostar that this incident has no national, but rather internal party motives, we ask HDZ the question they themselves posed two days ago: Who wants to burn Mostar?

We hope that before your next statement, you will learn that morning is wiser than evening, and you have an example of a responsible reaction in such situations within your own ranks, in the reactions of Minister Marić. To Kordić, we finally offer a well-intentioned message that building an atmosphere of tolerance and respect, which he often invokes, includes congratulating his citizens on Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day, which was absent, rather than raising national tensions before the investigation is concluded," stated the GO DF Mostar.
