SNSD delegates leave session of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly's House of Peoples, breaking quorum

(Patria) - Three SNSD delegates from the Serb Club left today's emergency session of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly's House of Peoples, thereby breaking quorum for further work.

Sredoje Nović, an SNSD delegate, called on colleagues to leave the session and not participate in what he termed a "farce."

Today's session was supposed to consider the dismissal of the Chairman of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Nikola Špirić, as well as two ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH from SNSD, Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić. The two were dismissed by the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on February 25, but the House of Peoples never confirmed that dismissal.

SNSD delegates, and occasionally those of HDZ, have broken quorum by leaving sessions, thus prolonging the tenure of SNSD officials in these positions.

The first presiding officer, Kemal Ademović, declared a one-hour break, and after the break, given that the SNSD delegates had not returned to the chamber, he noted that there was no quorum and that the session was adjourned.

Interestingly, after the break, Dragan Čović also did not return to the chamber.

Incidentally, before leaving the session, Špirić announced the continuation of the 16th session of the House of Peoples for May 29, as well as the holding of a special session.
