Bosnian Businessmen Keep Their Promise: Admir and Hajriz Donate 40 Cars to Families from Jablanica and Konjic

(Patria) - Humanitarians and successful entrepreneurs Admir Rahimić from Mostar and Hajriz Brčvak, originally from Sandžak, have kept their promise and donated 40 vehicles to people affected by the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The car keys were handed over to families today in Sarajevo, and the value of the donation, including customs and VAT costs, amounts to 1,210,819.95 BAM. This price does not include vehicle transport costs.



The handover took place in the presence of representatives from the organization Pomozi.ba, through which the donation was realized, and which paid the tax and customs duties on all vehicles in the amount of around 330,000 BAM. These are vehicles imported by the donors from Germany.

Rahimić and Brčvak have lived abroad for years and collaborated, and now they have united in a noble act.



Brčvak emphasized that the project was challenging, but thanks to people with big hearts, it became a reality.

- A big thank you to Admir Rahimić, the organization Pomozi.ba, led by Elvir Karalić, who took on the customs costs and logistics, and to our friend Gunter Willbrand, director of the Toyota car dealership, whose support was crucial for the realization of this project - said Brčvak.

According to his words, they did not expect a lack of understanding from the state, which did not accept to exempt the donation from customs and tax costs.



- Nevertheless, our focus is on what we have achieved - families now have the means for an easier daily life and an opportunity for a new beginning. This donation is a message that solidarity and goodwill of citizens can overcome even those obstacles that the system fails to resolve. Thank you to everyone who participated in this action. We have shown that together we can do a lot - added Brčvak.

Rahimić emphasized that, as a responsible member of the community, he always wants to help, and that it is his obligation. He hopes that the donation will at least slightly ease the lives of people who suffered enormous damage in the floods.

- Hajriz is my long-time friend and someone who has done a lot of good for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I sincerely thank him for us joining forces to bring 40 cars - highlighted Rahimić.



He especially thanked the organization Pomozi.ba.

- We united and succeeded. Thank you to Elvir Karalić and his people, because, as you know - the organization Pomozi.ba paid the tax and customs duties for all vehicles. I think from this place we can send a message of compassion and care for those who need us when it is hardest. Do not forget, only what we give is ours - added donor Rahimić.

The cars for families from the flooded areas of Jablanica and Konjic will be distributed with the help of the organization Pomozi.ba.

- We have previously worked on various humanitarian actions with our friend Hajriz Brčvak, this time Admir Rahimić is also here, and it is a great pleasure for me that Pomozi.ba is part of this story in a way that we helped these cars reach the end users.



I also thank Hajriz and Admir for such a great act, because 40 cars for 40 families is no small thing - stated Karalić during the key handover.

Ema Maslo-Hasić from Donja Jablanica lost close family members in the floods.

- You cannot imagine how it is to search for your loved ones in mud, sludge, sand. Even today it is not cleared. So many innocent people perished. Thank you to Pomozi.ba, who were the first to send concrete help. We lost two vehicles, and now, thanks to the donors, we again have a means of transport - said Maslo-Hasić.



Kenan Maslo, also from Donja Jablanica, lost his house, yard, garage, and cars in the floods.

- This donation means a lot to us, it is great that people help. The value of the car is much higher than those we had before, thank them for that - added Maslo.

The handover of cars to families from the flooded areas was also attended by the mayors of the municipalities of Jablanica and Konjic.

In the catastrophic floods that hit the areas of Jablanica, Fojnica, Kiseljak, Kreševo, and Konjic in October this year, 26 people died, and the material damage is estimated at tens of millions of BAM.
