Begić: European Court proved that Schmidt imposed racist decisions!

(Patria) - The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg ruled that human rights were violated in two cases for Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Zlatan Begić (DF).

The Court in Strasbourg determined that the President and Vice-Presidents of the Federation of BiH are elected contrary to the European Convention on Human Rights. Furthermore, the ECtHR ruled that the leadership of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is elected contrary to the Convention.

Guesting on today's BHT1 uživo show, Begić spoke about the importance of these ECtHR rulings in Strasbourg.

- If the leadership of this country is leading us to the European Union via a forest path instead of a road, we will certainly not reach that destination. The courts, and now an international court, have given us all rights.

Only those we elected can renounce these rights on our behalf and agree to some kind of apartheid compromises, just as they agreed to that kind of compromise when Christian Schmidt imposed election rules on election night to get government positions, and to make some kind of compromises within apartheid.

So, we have the tools, the courts have told us we are right, Europe has told us we are right. This is not some declaration of the Parliamentary Assembly or some Council of Europe committee, etc. This is a judgment – said Begić, Patria reports.

He then explained why the ruling concerning the election of the President and two Vice-Presidents of FBiH is important. Begić explains that these are rules imposed by Christian Schmidt on election night.

- Until now, when people went to the ECtHR in Strasbourg, it was mostly about the Dayton rules, which were designed to stop the war and aggression against this country.

However, we now have rules that have proven to be discriminatory, and now confirmed by a court ruling, which were imposed by the High Representative – states Begić.

He reminds that for the method of electing the president and two vice-presidents of the FBiH entity, there was even a Constitutional Court ruling based on the request of Željko Komšić, which was made years earlier.

- So, when the High Representative delved into the regulation of the election of the president and two vice-presidents of FBiH, he violated the Constitutional Court's decision.

Therefore, what credibility does he have to say anything to Milorad Dodik, when he disregarded, violated the Constitutional Court's decision which also stated that this method of election violated the European Convention.

And then he further established, strengthened, cemented such a discriminatory method of election, making it impossible to correct ever again. And I promised then that I would prove to him in court that he made discriminatory and racist decisions, and now the ECtHR has told him so – concluded Begić, Patria reports.
