(Patria) - Two party leaders, Edin Forto (Our Party) and Elmedin Konaković (NiP), were tasked with influencing the Minister of Communal Affairs, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in the Sarajevo Canton Government, Bojan Bošnjak (Our Party), to issue an opinion on the environmental impact study for the Bjelašnica area, which would legalize the illegal urban project of Trnovo Municipality.
This was stated tonight by the president of the Civic Alliance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's KV, Almir Bečarević, on the show Istraga sedmice, broadcast on Hayat Television.
Bečarević, former Minister of Communal Affairs, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in the Sarajevo Canton Government, emphasized that "Forto was the most interested". Bečarević is a witness for the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office in this case, reports Istraga.ba.
Cantonal prosecutor Darko Soldat also stated today before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, during the hearing to determine one-month detention for the arrested cantonal minister Bošnjak, that "two leaders of political parties in BiH were supposed to influence Bojan Bošnjak in a short period of time to give a positive opinion at all costs".
Soldat also stated that he "submitted a sealed envelope to the Court containing transcripts of intercepted communications of the mayor of Trnovo Municipality, Ibri Berilo, who was arrested in August this year for illegal construction on Bjelašnica".
- From the evidence we submitted to the Court in a sealed envelope, containing intercepted communications of Ibri Berilo, direct and immediate contact is evident, pressuring Bojan Bošnjak to issue a positive opinion within his jurisdiction on the environmental impact study for the Bjelašnica area, which would legalize the illegal urban project of Trnovo Municipality. From these communications, it is clear that Bojan Bošnjak was influenced to make such a decision by direct contact with the director of a public utility company responsible, among other things, for construction on Bjelašnica. Likewise, contacts with two leaders of political parties in BiH who were supposed to influence Bojan Bošnjak in a short period of time to give a positive opinion at all costs - said prosecutor Soldat.
We remind you that the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office proposed to the Municipal Court to impose one-month detention on the suspected minister due to the risk that he might influence witnesses, conceal evidence, and due to the risk of recidivism, and he is suspected of abuse of position or authority.
