(Patria) - While Prijedor is marking the Day of White Ribbons – a day of remembrance for the suffering of non-Serb population during the aggression, a EUFOR plane is circling over this city.
It also circled yesterday, after a shameful parade, according to data from the FlightRadar 24 application.
This is a Beech 90 King Air type aircraft, belonging to a British company specializing in aerial photography and radio signal interception.
This aircraft has been previously seen over cities in the Republika Srpska entity during moments of political tension or important events.
We remind you that the Day of White Ribbons is marked in memory of May 31, 1992, when the then-Serb authorities in Prijedor ordered the non-Serb population to display white flags or sheets on their houses, and to put white bands on their arms when leaving their homes – thereby being publicly marked as targets. This practice preceded the mass crimes, persecutions, and murders that followed.
Today, citizens, activists, and survivors are commemorating this date, demanding justice and recognition of the truth about the crimes committed against the non-Serb population in Prijedor.
