If the morning shows the day: Incidents, rule violations, and reports of vote buying at the start of repeated elections in RS

(Patria) - If the morning shows the day, the repeated early elections for the president of Republika Srpska, already in the early morning hours, were marked by incidents, violations of election rules, and serious accusations of electoral irregularities in several cities.

The first incident was recorded at a polling station in Skočić, where the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Dragoslav Milanović – Brico, shouted at citizens who were photographing and filming him.

Irregularities were also recorded in Karakaj, where a small number of voters have cast their ballots so far – around 20, while dozens of party activists are located right next to the polling station. Among them is SNSD MP in the National Assembly of RS, Aleksandar Krsmanović, who, according to reports, is not adhering to the Central Election Commission's rules on the prescribed distance from the polling station.

The most serious incident occurred this morning in Doboj, at the High School Center, where the police intervened. SNSD MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Sanja Vulić, verbally attacked an observer of the opposition candidate for the president of Republika Srpska from SDS, accusing him of filming. The observer claims he did not, while the police called him in for questioning.

The president of the Doboj City Election Commission, Nenad Paleksić, stated that the incident, according to their information, was caused by an observer who requested to see every voter's identification document. In Doboj, elections are being repeated at 31 polling stations, and 17,562 citizens have the right to vote.

The fact that SDS Doboj filed a police report due to suspicion of vote buying at the polling stations Čaršija and Bare, as well as in a catering facility in that city, adds further weight to the events.

Incidentally, Doboj was also one of the cities where the largest number of electoral irregularities were recorded in the early elections for the president of Republika Srpska on November 23 last year.
