(Patria) - Although it has been definitively decided to proceed with the appointment of Osman Mehmedagić for a new term as Director of the Intelligence Security Agency, as confirmed by the proposer Zoran Tegeltija, there will still be a certain waiting period.
Namely, the session of the Joint Committee for Oversight of the Intelligence Security Agency (OSA) of BiH, which was supposed to discuss Mehmedagić's reappointment, has been cancelled, and as stated by the Chairman of the Joint Committee for Oversight of the OSA BiH, Nermin Nikšić, due to Tegeltija's obligations, another date will have to be found. The session was supposed to be held on Wednesday, September 2, the same day as the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has been conducting an investigation for a long time due to the diplomas of the Director of OSA BiH, one of which has been officially annulled. However, there is still no final prosecutorial decision.
We remind you that Osman Mehmedagić, Director of the Intelligence Security Agency (OSA), declared his diplomas as secret documents. The Committee had previously requested the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH to provide the names of the candidates for the General Director and Chief Inspector so that this committee, in accordance with the valid law and rules of procedure, could discuss this matter, as the mandate of the current leadership of OSA expired on November 19, 2019.
