Zvizdić: EU Questionnaire is a step towards BiH's EU candidacy

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić said after today's session of the Council of Ministers of BiH that all answers to the European Commission (EC) Questionnaire were unanimously adopted, stating that this is a clear message of where our country wants to be at this moment.

Zvizdić claims that BiH is recording steady progress and is a credible partner to all EU countries, which regularly responds to EU tasks within all deadlines with minor delays.

- The EU accession protocol was adopted, followed by the Reform Agenda, the Coordination Mechanism, as well as three very important strategies - environment, transport and rural development - Zvizdić emphasized at today's press conference.

Zvizdić explained that a professional editing of the English translation now follows, after which finalization by all BiH institutions will take place, and then on February 28, BiH's answers to the EC Questionnaire will be submitted.

- This is a step towards BiH's EU candidacy, but all countries in the region have received additional questions, so we will probably receive them as well. These are clarifications of certain processes and procedures. The Questionnaire shows the real situation, i.e., an inventory of the situation in our country - Zvizdić said.

 

The Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH will publish the text of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Answers to the 3,242 questions from the European Commission Questionnaire for the preparation of the Opinion on Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for membership in the European Union, after it is officially submitted to the European Commission, on the Directorate's website.
