Zvizdić meets with Hahn: EU integration remains BiH's most important goal

MUNICH, (Patria) - On the second day of the Munich Security Conference, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić attended addresses by the Vice Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Theresa May, the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, and the Prime Ministers of Austria Sebastian Kurz, Turkey Binali Yıldırım, France Édouard Philippe and Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today on the margins of the Munich Security Conference with the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, who congratulated him on the adopted responses to the European Commission's Questionnaire. Commissioner Hahn said it is necessary to continue efforts in implementing reform processes on the path to EU integration. He said the responses to the Questionnaire will be used by the European Commission to assess the country's capacity and maturity.

Chairman Zvizdić emphasised that the process of responding to the European Commission's Questionnaire represents the completion of the most complex phase on BiH's path to the European Union. He also said that the adoption of the responses to the Questionnaire is the best message of where BiH wants to be and where it truly belongs. He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is fully committed to ensuring that European integration remains the most important foreign policy goal to which BiH is dedicated.

Chairman Zvizdić also briefly met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák.
