Zvizdić meets with Pence: US continues support for BiH on the Euro-Atlantic integration path

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić met today in Podgorica, on the margins of the Adriatic Charter Summit, with Vice President of the United States of America (USA) Mike Pence, whom he informed about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the progress made so far by our country on the Euro-Atlantic path.

Chairman Zvizdić said that Euro-Atlantic integration remains the main foreign policy goal and priority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and highlighted the enormous progress BiH has made on the European path in the past year, as well as significant advances in fulfilling the conditions for the activation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP).

He emphasized the importance of keeping the international community's political focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina and the continued support for the continuation of reform processes and Euro-Atlantic integration.

He added that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina want a better and higher quality of life, but that this goal is achievable only through continued reforms and accelerated Euro-Atlantic integration.

The next important step for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a contribution to regional stability, Chairman Zvizdić pointed out, would be the activation of the MAP for our country.

US Vice President Mike Pence said that the US considers Bosnia and Herzegovina a key to the stability, peace, and security of the Western Balkans region. He reiterated the unequivocal support of the US for the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked the United States of America and the American people for their assistance so far and continued support for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
