Zvizdić with Lajčák: Slovakia will help BiH meet EU conditions

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today in Sarajevo with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák. They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the process of European integration, reports the Patria News Agency.

They agreed that there are no open issues between BiH and the Slovak Republic and that bilateral relations are good and friendly, which is the basis for further strengthening of cooperation.

Minister Lajčák congratulated Chairman Zvizdić on BiH's visible progress on the path to the European Union and on the constructive and productive work of the Council of Ministers of BiH. He offered his country's assistance in meeting the conditions that BiH will receive from the European Union and said that Slovakia will continue to support BiH.

Chairman Zvizdić stated that the path to integration into the European Union leads through reforms and that BiH is ready for such tasks. He informed him about the progress being made within the European integration process and emphasized that the work of this convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH has been marked by positive political will and readiness to resolve problems through agreement. He highlighted regional cooperation as one of the key priorities of the Council of Ministers of BiH and said that good neighborly relations with other countries in the Western Balkans region are an important factor in the development of relations and cooperation between the European Union and BiH.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for the assistance that the Slovak Republic promised and delivered to Bosnia and Herzegovina after last year's floods and for the children's playground that Minister Lajčák, on behalf of his country, solemnly handed over to the children of Srebrenica yesterday, it was announced from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
