Zvizdić with Calavera Director: All Submitted EU Questionnaire Responses Except Republika Srpska

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Dr. Denis Zvizdić met with the Director for the Western Balkans in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, and informed her about the current political and economic situation in BiH and the implementation of tasks that BiH needs to fulfill on its path to the European Union, the Council of Ministers announced, Patria reports.

Chairman Zvizdić informed Director Calavera about the preparation of the summit of prime ministers of the Western Balkan countries, which will be held in Sarajevo in March. He said that this will be an opportunity to prepare joint projects that will be offered at the Western Balkan Summit in Trieste in early July this year.

In the discussion on completing responses to the Questionnaire that BiH received from the European Commission, Chairman Zvizdić said that all administrative levels of government and all institutions, except Republika Srpska, have submitted their responses in a timely and quality manner, and that the Directorate for European Integration is working on preparing materials that will be subject to final harmonization through the envisaged structures. He expressed hope that responses from RS will be submitted soon to ensure the preparation of unified responses on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Zvizdić and Director Calavera agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina should continue the processes of reconciliation and strengthening regional cooperation. Chairman Zvizdić said that the Council of Ministers of BiH will continue to work on the economic development of BiH, strengthening the business environment, and improving the living standard of citizens.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the European Union Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars Gunnar Wigemark.
