Zvizdić with Danielsson: Today is a historic step for BiH on the EU path

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today in Brussels with the Director-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission Christian Danielsson, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

They discussed the implementation of the conditions that Bosnia and Herzegovina received from the European Union. Chairman Zvizdić said that BiH has implemented the previously set percentage of measures outlined in the Reform Agenda and emphasized that all conditions have been met for today's consideration of BiH's application for membership in the European Union. He said he expects BiH to receive a positive response today and that the Commission will be tasked with preparing a questionnaire for BiH.

Christian Danielsson congratulated Chairman Zvizdić on the progress Bosnia and Herzegovina has made in the previous period and said that today's consideration of the application is a historic step for BiH on the EU path. He emphasized that the European Union will continue to provide support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period and highlighted the importance of implementing reforms for the overall progress of citizens.

They also discussed the implementation of the IPA 2 project, as well as projects defined in the transport strategy.

Lidija Topić, BiH Ambassador to the EU, also attended the meeting.
