Zvizdić: Merkel's message shows we have succeeded in overcoming the period of prolonged stagnation on the EU path

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina commented on the statement by Chancellor Angela Merkel regarding BiH's path to the EU. She, as we recall, said in her video message on Saturday that she believes Albania, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have good prospects for joining the European Union, reports the Patria news agency.

- Chancellor Merkel's statement that, despite the existing difficulties, progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the EU integration path is noticeable and that there are good chances for BiH to join the EU represents an extremely positive signal and an encouraging and stimulating message for all levels of government in BiH to dedicate ourselves even more actively to the realization of key priorities, namely: European Integration, Economic Development and the Rule of Law - says Zvizdić.

At the same time, Zvizdić adds, the statement confirms the extremely important fact that Chancellor Merkel and the EU have recognized the activities and efforts undertaken by the Presidency of BiH, the Parliament of BiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH in realizing the goals of the German-British initiative and implementing the SAA.

- Such a statement, with the strength of its authority, clearly conveys that we have succeeded in overcoming the period of prolonged stagnation on the EU integration path, once again confirms the European perspective of BiH and clearly points to the fact that the continuation of the current full and productive work engagement, along with the existence of positive political cooperation, especially at the level of the Parliament of BiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH, will be a key factor in the continuation of BiH's path towards EU integration - added Zvizdić.
