Zvizdić: Košarac does not decide on the SNSD Club's positions, and talks with him are unnecessary

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić assessed the public statement of MP Staša Košarac as completely untrue "and created in an almost pathetic manner.

"For the truthful informing of the public, I want to point out that my intention as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH was to speak by phone with the SNSD MPs' Club, as I have done with most other Clubs in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH, and in the interest of political correctness, to inform them about the Council of Ministers' intention to renew the procedure regarding the Excise Law in the coming period. Therefore, my Cabinet contacted the SNSD MPs' Club with the intention of speaking by phone with the President of the SNSD Club, but contact with the Club was not established," Zvizdić stated in a press release sent to the media from the Prime Minister's Cabinet.

On Thursday, there were no new consultations between Zvizdić and parliamentary parties regarding the new excise law.

SNSD believes that Zvizdić does not have the legitimacy to be the Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

"We received a call from the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, which we did not attend. We recognize the policies of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, who has ignored the positions of the RS institutions for the past three years," said Košarac.

In Zvizdić's letter, it is stated that it is clear that Staša Košarac does not decide on the positions of the SNSD Club and it is clear that a conversation with him would be completely unnecessary.

"On several occasions, through the media, SNSD has stated that their MPs' Club will vote for excise taxes, so apart from a phone call, there was no need for me to meet and explain anything to Mr. Košarac. Therefore, I have never communicated with Staša Košarac either in writing or by phone personally. He never received any invitation for a meeting with me, so this way of misleading the public represents manipulative political behavior, as we have come to expect from this state representative," Zvizdić reacted sharply.
