Zvizdić: A New European Step - BiH Becomes Part of the European Security System

 

By signing the Agreement on Operational and Strategic Cooperation between BiH and EUROPOL, we have also become an essential part of the European police and security system. With this act, we have taken a big step on the path of European integration and fulfilled another obligation from the Reform Agenda, through which we have permanently ensured institutional strengthening in the fight against organized crime, states the declaration signed by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, reports the Patria News Agency.

The agreement with EUROPOL will ensure that we contribute to overall European security in a higher quality and more efficient manner, and in return, Bosnia and Herzegovina will have access to all capacities that will assist the security sector in protecting the citizens of our country.

While giving full support to this agreement, I am convinced that the experience of EUROPOL and Bosnian-Herzegovinian security agencies will be of mutual interest and will contribute to a more effective fight against terrorism and all forms of organized crime, the statement reads.
