
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today with the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler, and the issue of the spread of the COVID 19 virus in BiH was discussed.
Zvizdić said that significant measures have been taken at all levels of government to prevent unforeseeable consequences.
He emphasized that, in addition to the importance of protecting the health of citizens in BiH, it is necessary to insist on a set of economic measures that will mitigate the economic consequences caused by the COVID 19 virus.
Zvizdić and Sattler agreed that coordinated activities are the best way to prevent the pandemic, but also an indicator that the citizens' interest has been put first, in relation to political disagreements.
Sattler said that the European Union has always been with Bosnia and Herzegovina when help was needed, highlighting the major floods that occurred in 2014. They also discussed the current situation in BiH and the fulfillment of obligations on the path to the European Union, as well as overcoming problems on that path.
The interlocutors are convinced that Bosnia and Herzegovina will firmly remain on the path of European integration and emphasized that this represents a guarantee for progress in economic, business, cultural, and all other aspects.
