Zvizdić and Ping Discuss Economic and Political Situation and Construction of Block 7

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić received today in Sarajevo the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Ji Ping, with whom he discussed the current economic and political situation in BiH.

Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Ping agreed that BiH and the People's Republic of China have friendly relations that should be further improved in the coming period, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.

They concluded that economic cooperation is on the rise and that there is significant room for improvement in all segments.

They also discussed the upcoming summit of ministers of transport and communications, which should be held in Sarajevo by the end of this year within the framework of the “17+1” cooperation, and stated that infrastructure construction is the most important goal of economic development for the entire region.

Zvizdić and Ping expressed confidence that the construction of Block 7 of the "Tuzla" Thermal Power Plant, which is important for the energy stability of BiH, will soon be launched.

Ping noted that relations between the two countries are improving in all fields, especially in tourism, and pointed out that the number of tourists in the first six months of this year has reached the number of Chinese tourists in BiH from the entire previous year.

Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Ping expressed the expectation that successful cooperation and quality partnership will continue in the coming period based on mutual understanding and respect.
