Zvizdić and Bulc to sign Transport Community Agreement between BiH and EU

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić and Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc will sign the Transport Community Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union in Brussels today. Four candidate projects, extremely important for infrastructural development, were approved at the Western Balkans Summit in Trieste, but the funds are on hold because BiH had not acceded to the Transport Community at the time, writes Patria agency.

We were given a deadline until the end of September, and after the Council of Ministers supported the Agreement, and then the Presidency of BiH approved it, the path to accession was opened. 

BiH will thus receive around 500 million KM for infrastructure projects. Four approved projects are sections of the Corridor Vc highway, on the Ponirak-Vraca stretch, or Zenica-Tunnel, with a value of 83.9 million euros, of which BiH received a grant of 15.9 million euros.

The second section is Zenica-Gračanica with a total investment value of 66.9 million euros, and the grant for BiH is 11.8 million euros.

The third section is Johovac-Rudanka with a value of 80 million euros, and a grant for BiH has been approved in the amount of 15.3 million euros.

The Port of Brčko is the fourth project with a value of 10.1 million euros, for which BiH has been approved grant funds in the amount of 3.1 million euros.
