Zvizdić and Berton on education reform, ending segregation in schools

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić received the new Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Ambassador Bruce Berton, for a courtesy visit today and congratulated him on the responsible position he will hold in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports Patria News Agency.

Chairman Zvizdić said that he greatly appreciates the work of the OSCE Mission in BiH and emphasized that they make a significant contribution to the implementation of reform processes in BiH. He thanked the Mission for the support it provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to the European Union and for its significant engagement in the educational system in BiH. They agreed that it is necessary to reform education, suppress hate speech, and end discrimination and segregation in schools.

Ambassador Berton said that the OSCE Mission will provide full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in further reform processes and that in the coming period, it will continue to assist in the realization of common goals, which are education, protection of human rights, democracy, suppression of hate speech, and the integration of BiH into the European Union.
