OFFICIAL The base for public sector salaries in FBiH is 480 KM, officials' salaries increased by more than 500 KM

(Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić today, at the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo, signed an Agreement on the base and point for calculating salaries with the President of the Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in State Bodies, Judicial Authorities, and Public Institutions in the Federation of BiH, Samir Kurtović. The signing of the Agreement was attended by the Federal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Toni Kraljević.

The signing of today's agreement is the result of continuous negotiations conducted by the Collegium of the Government of the Federation of BiH with the representatives of the Trade Union, and is in accordance with the Law on Salaries and Benefits in the Authorities of FBiH and the Collective Agreement for Employees of Administrative Authorities and Judicial Authorities of FBiH, as well as the growth of the consumer price index.

The representatives of the Trade Union justified the request for determining the new base by analyzing the increase in the cost of living, as well as the growth of the average salary in the Federation of BiH from 2021 to 2024 in relation to the salary growth of employees in the administrative authorities of FBiH.

Prime Minister Nikšić emphasized on this occasion that by adopting this decision, the Government of the Federation of BiH, in accordance with the Law and the Collective Agreement, has contributed to the improvement of workers' rights in the Federation of BiH.

He stressed that after the adoption of the Decision on the amount of the minimum wage in FBiH for 2025, the determination of the Proposal for the Budget of the Federation of BiH for this year, and today's signing of the Agreement, it shows a commitment to continuously undertake activities to restore the dignity of citizens in the Federation of BiH.

The agreement establishes a base amount of 480 KM and a point of 1.00 for calculating salaries in the authorities of the Federation of BiH in the fiscal year 2025. This base and point will be applied in the manner and from the moment it is regulated by the Law on Budget Execution for 2025, and in accordance with the Law on Salaries and Benefits in the Authorities of the Federation of BiH.

The President of the Trade Union, Samir Kurtović, expressed satisfaction with today's signing of the agreement, by which the Government of the Federation of BiH and the Federal Ministry of Finance, in accordance with regulations, have fulfilled the request of the Trade Union and the workers they represent.
