OFFICIAL DATA IN Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH: Almost Equal Number of Serbs and Bosniaks, Fewest Employees in Regional Center Sarajevo!

(Patria) - As of October 13, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH had 2,335 employees (permanent and fixed-term). According to the systematization, the number of prescribed positions is 3,319, which means the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH is short of almost 1,000 employees.

Zoran Tegeltija (SNSD) has been heading the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH since June 15. Sources from the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH state that the number of Serb employees has increased, while the number of Bosniak employees has decreased, especially in management positions. Otherwise, the number of Bosniaks in BiH institutions is about 800 less than their proportion according to the census. However, the new state government, which will mark its first year in power next month, has done nothing to balance this number. On the contrary, while Bosniaks are waiting, employees from the Serb and Croat ethnic groups are being hired into institutions.

Aida Baručija, a Member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, requested data on the ethnic structure in the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH and its regional centers.

The data showed that out of 2,162 permanent employees for whom ethnic affiliation is known, there are 877 Bosniaks, 813 Serbs, 464 Croats, and eight others.

Regarding the four regional centers, the data shows the fewest employees are in the Regional Center Sarajevo, with a total of 397. Out of 375 permanent employees, there are 240 Bosniaks, 105 Serbs, and 27 Croats, and three others.

The Regional Center Tuzla has 433 employees, with 418 in permanent employment, of whom 204 are Bosniaks, 156 Serbs, and 58 Croats.

The Regional Center Mostar employs 479 people, with 466 in permanent employment. Of these, 272 are Croats, 132 Bosniaks, and 62 Serbs.

The largest number of employees is in Banja Luka, which is also the headquarters of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH. Out of 593 employees, the ethnic structure is known for 540 of them: 318 Serbs, 159 Bosniaks, 62 Croats, and two others.

In the General Directorate, there are a total of 433 employees, and the ethnic structure is known for 363 employees. Of these, 172 are Serbs, 143 Bosniaks, 45 Croats, and three others.
