Žuljević: Excise coalition created a spiral of price increases for citizens

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Aner Žuljević, delegate of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reminds that everything has been done to forget the excise coalition, while the bickering of the parties that together voted for the robbery of citizens has come to the forefront.

- Almost half a year after the adoption of excise duties, there is no talk about it at all. The excise coalition created a spiral of price increases for citizens and is now beating pre-election war drums, while preparing to go on vacation.

The price of a liter of fuel has increased by 30 fening, and besides unequal prices, depending on the wishes of oil distributors, it should be remembered that the main responsibility lies with the parties SDA, SBB, HDZ and SNSD.

At that time, representatives of these parties said that there would be no chain price increase. They lied to all of us, and the consequence is reaching into the pockets of citizens and the increase in the price of basic foodstuffs.

It should be recalled that even two average salaries are not enough to cover the consumer basket of a family of four. The current government bears exclusive responsibility.

When all the lies of the current government were stripped bare, when the consequences of their decision knocked on the doors of ordinary people, then through their propaganda machine they again started trading in national interests, primary fears and the rhetoric of war.

In a country where half the population lives on the brink of poverty, price increases are a holodomor decision, and the noise created by the ruling parties cannot fill anyone's stomach.

The SDP BiH consistently warned about the danger and catastrophic consequences of adopting excise duties. Then we voted against. Then we also said that there would be price increases. And also, we showed that we can lead a different policy, a policy of social stabilization by increasing pensions twice.

Citizens will not fall for yet another war, which they announce before the elections, and they will know how to punish the excise coalition - said Žuljević.
