(Patria) - Head of the Bosniak Club in the Federal House of Peoples, Muamer Zukić (SDA), commented this morning on social media on a recent interview given to a media outlet by Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.
Zukić reminds that Nikšić, when asked by a journalist what he considered the most significant result of his government's work, replied that he was "proud of the atmosphere, mutual trust, and that Parliament approves everything that is needed".
"Instead of highlighting concrete results of his work, as he holds the most executive, most concrete, and most competent position in the country, the Prime Minister pathetically boasts about the atmosphere – which is the worst in the country, even if it is good among ministers, about the trust of coalition partners – which hardly exists, or rather functions on the principle of extreme subservience to the HDZ, and about the work of the FBiH Parliament – which has been the weakest in its history over the past eight months.
Since this government was established, legislative activity has been in almost complete paralysis. Only a few laws have been adopted, mostly prepared by the previous government.
Even around those, there were இழுபறிகள் at several sessions, they were sent into procedures, then returned several times, then they were mangled by amendments by coalition partners, and in the end, the expert services didn't even know which versions of the laws to publish.
Ultimately, the laws were mostly adopted with the help of opposition votes, due to the crisis in the parliamentary majority.
These eight months are the period with the fewest FBiH Parliament sessions held, with the fewest agenda items considered, with the fewest laws adopted.
If it weren't for various pieces of information that are merely taken note of, I don't know how they would cobble together an agenda. And let's not even talk about adopting the budget for the current year – no one mentions that.
If we are to be truly realistic, the work of the federal government led by the SDP over the past eight months has been marked by several things:
- extreme subservience to the HDZ at the FBiH level, as well as to the SNSD at the BiH level;
- outvoting Bosniaks in the adoption of laws and other decisions;
- express, urgent, mass, semi-legal, and illegal dismissals and appointments of personnel in public enterprises and institutions; and
- extreme dysfunctionality of the government in general.
The past eight months are undoubtedly one of the weakest periods in the functioning of the FBiH government in its history," Zukić stated.
