Zukan Helez was not the topic of discussion, Nikšić stated that SDP stands behind the Council of Ministers and Helez

(Patria) - The topic of today's meeting of coalition partners at both the Federation of BiH and state levels was not the BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez, whose dismissal was requested by eight MPs from RS after statements about alleged military camps in the RS.

"It was not a topic for discussion, but I am convinced that we will find an atmosphere similar to this for agreeing on the functioning of the executive and legislative authorities. The fewer statements in public that will burden our European path, the easier it will be for all of us. I have not had contact with SNSD on these or any other topics recently. But we agreed to have contacts as soon as possible to coordinate topics. With a little effort, I am convinced we can get out of this," Čović said.

He also had a message for all his colleagues in politics, especially for those in power.

"My message to colleagues in politics, especially those of us who lead the position today, is to refrain from reacting to everything; it is not the time for such activities and it will not bring anything good. A little restraint will put us in a position to work together. Anything else will be difficult," Čović said.

SDP President Nermin Nikšić added that SDP MPs stand behind this Council of Ministers, just as they stand behind the SDP candidate, Minister Zukan Helez.

"There were initiatives to change some other ministers as well. We insist and demand the same for everyone, an investigation, and only then will anyone's responsibility be considered once we establish it as a violation of the law," Nikšić specified.
