Zuhrić: Konaković's incompetence is irritating in normal circumstances, and a danger to the state in crisis situations

(Patria) - Member of the KS Assembly and delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament Albin Zuhrić (DF) critically commented on the statement of the head of BiH diplomacy and leader of NiP, Elmedin Konaković - who said, "in case of non-compliance with certain court decisions and verdicts, we will not send armed people against armed people, because Milorad Dodik controls a part of the MUP of RS".

"The message Konaković sends to Dodik in his statement is - when you illegally abolish the Court, the Prosecutor's Office, the HJPC, and SIPA, and say you will arrest anyone in RS who works for them - we will do nothing. We don't want incidents, so feel free to abolish institutions. Arrest. And consider which next four laws you will 'repeal'.

In short, such a response anticipates the best scenario that Dodik imagines. To shut down all state institutions, create a de facto independent state within BiH, and for no one from the Federation to do anything.

Konaković's incompetence is irritating in normal circumstances and causes negative social consequences. Konaković's incompetence in crisis situations is a danger to the survival of the state.

Of course, there will be well-intentioned people who will think there is nothing problematic with Konaković's 'conciliatory' messages, however, they are not state ministers and they do not have the responsibility to think three steps ahead. Konaković is, and generally thinks one step back.

Citizens have the right to sometimes overlook a problem, hoping that something will resolve itself, state ministers do not have that luxury. And Konaković is doing just that - burying his head in the sand, and from the sand, he is telling us not to do anything, while secession accelerates.

Nor does one need to be very experienced to ask oneself a simple question - what do you think Dodik will do after successfully shutting down four state institutions in RS? Will his next move be to turn to the economy?

But it would be foolish to think that Konaković could say anything smart. He is a man who, obsessed with the idea of a ministerial chair, walked around Laktaši and begged Dodik to give him the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Who from Dodik made a reformer, praised him, went to games with him, and in the media made Komšić an enemy (even in today's reaction, while Dodik is carrying out secession, he saved his biggest criticism for DF and SDA).

He personally, along with a few colleagues from the Trojka, is responsible for Dodik being in power today, for having so much power, and for feeling encouraged to do what he is doing.

It is good, however, that no one sees Konaković as a leader, nor counts on him in difficult situations. After all, he proved inadequate in much easier situations.

If he were a leader to someone in this country, it would be best to surrender immediately and seek a confederation with Zagreb. But he is not, so only he will remain in a confederation with HDZ, and people who love Bosnia and Herzegovina will fight for it," Zuhrić wrote in a social media post.
