Zubac to appear before judges tomorrow, will be apprehended if he fails to appear

The start of the main hearing in the Goran Zubac case, before Department II for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, is scheduled for September 25, 2014, starting at 09:00 AM in courtroom 8, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced, reports Patria agency.

We remind you that the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac did not appear at the first scheduled hearing on September 18, and a second date was set. His lawyer stated that he would attend the second hearing, and if he fails to do so, his apprehension will be ordered.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment on June 16, 2014, charging the accused Zubac Goran with the criminal offense of dereliction of duty.

The indictment states, among other things, that the accused Goran Zubac, as an official in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, consciously violating laws and other regulations, acted obviously negligently in the performance of his duties, resulting in property damage exceeding 10,000.00 KM.

We remind you that on February 7, when violent demonstrations broke out and the Presidency of BiH building was set on fire, Zubac ordered the Special Unit of SIPA to the scene, writes Patria.
