Zubac Ignores Even the US: SIPA Without Valuable Equipment Due to Chetniks in Special Forces!

The United States of America (USA) intended to donate more than 500 special uniform sets to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) for its special purposes unit, but this donation has not yet been handed over, the BH news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.

Namely, through the International Criminal Justice Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), the US planned to hand over the donation, but the still current director of SIPA, Goran Zubac, was unofficially informed, was given a condition according to which he would have to urgently take measures to correct the damaged national balance in this institution.

Specifically, the Americans requested the dismissal of Jovica Mirosavljević, known as "chetnics", from the leading position in SIPA's Special Purpose Unit.

However, Zubac, whose suspension due to indictment is being discussed today, coldly refused, and ICITAP suspended the delivery of the donation. As we learn, the equipment worth around 100,000 marks is still in warehouses and under ICITAP supervision.

Regarding this case, the US Embassy told the BH news agency Patria (NAP) that they have good cooperation with all police agencies, but could not speak about the details as to why the donation has not yet been handed over.

- At this moment, we are working on administrative and logistical details to ensure assistance to SIPA, the Embassy stated.

The US Embassy has a long-standing, positive cooperation with police and security agencies at all levels in BiH, especially through the International Criminal Justice Training Assistance Program (ICITAP program).

- We act to support the development of professional and transparent law enforcement institutions that protect human rights, fight corruption, and reduce the threat posed by transnational crime and terrorism. This also includes continuous cooperation with the Security and Protection Agency (SIPA) - the Embassy emphasized.

According to the latest information, given that SIPA continues to refuse to correct the national imbalance in leadership positions, ICITAP is considering the option of handing over the donation to another police agency in BiH.
