Zubac and "Chetniks" did not allow SIPA members to save citizens

Members of the SIPA Special Support Unit, trained for crisis situations, were ready to join the rescue operation of citizens affected by devastating floods on May 15, but Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, did not allow it, the Patria News Agency has learned.

Zubac received support in this decision from the commander of the Special Unit, Jovica Mirosavljević-"Chetniks", who became known after his photos wearing a leather jacket with the inscription "Chetnics" were published, as well as information that he is a sympathizer of the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement.

According to our source (name and surname known to the editorial office) who does not want his name mentioned due to fear of retaliation, the members of this unit were shocked by such a procedure.

- We were ready to join the rescue operation of our citizens immediately, but we did not get permission. Moreover, no one dared to mention it publicly anymore. I regret that, because we are truly ready and trained to do that kind of work. Our alpine team of the Special Support Unit, which has the most modern equipment, was also not involved – states our source.

That nobody in SIPA apparently cares what the public will say is also evidenced by the negligence towards the media. Namely, the Patria News Agency sent an inquiry to this institution on May 21 asking whether SIPA was involved in rescue operations, but we have not received an answer to this day.

While members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rafters, neighbors, and even high school students were saving people, Zubac was settling scores with Bosniaks in SIPA. The latest case of Zubac's retaliation is Vahid Alagić, who was suspended due to a report filed by a police officer.

SIPA definitely failed this time as well, just like on February 7, when the Presidency of BiH building was on fire, and when Zubac did not allow SIPA members to defend property and lives. We remind you that an investigation is underway against Zubac in the BiH Prosecutor's Office because of this, and whether new charges will be filed for not taking action in this case remains to be seen.

SIPA only joined the action of providing assistance in cleaning and repairing the damage caused in Maglaj, Doboj, Šamac, and Bijeljina on May 30, organized by the SIPA Trade Union, with the support of the Agency's management. About 150 employees joined the action. They boasted in a statement about their involvement in the cleaning action, without explaining in a single word why the trained SIPA members did not join the citizen rescue operation.

And whether by chance or not, Zubac received a letter of thanks for the help from Doboj, because the teams sent to Doboj helped clean the Pensioners' Home building and the Court building in Doboj, while the team in Bijeljina, in cooperation with civil protection, worked on disinfecting residential buildings.
