Zubac will continue to supervise SIPA through Đuro Knežević!

Convicted Goran Zubac, director of the Agency for Investigation and Protection, should have been dismissed by the Council of Ministers today, following a proposal from the Independent Board, writes the news agency Patria.

Let us recall, Zubac was finally sentenced to one year in prison, i.e., two years on probation, for negligent work in office, after it was established before the Court of BiH that he should have reacted on February 7, when he refused to provide assistance to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies on February 7, 2014, when the building of the Presidency of BiH was on fire.

Experts, however, warn that this sentence is not adequate, and our source from SIPA now wonders who will sort out SIPA, because behind Zubac remains complete chaos, national imbalance, and his protectors have been in complete panic since yesterday.

- Also, we ask whether Zubac will be stripped of the gold badge, which he awarded to himself (!?) in 2012, as soon as he came to the position of director – says our source.

Incidentally, Zubac distributed badges and recognitions only to those who were suitable and deserving for various arrests of certain people. Besides rewarding himself, in 2013 he awarded a badge to Mario Kapetanović, who arrested MP Šemsudin Mehmedović without an order from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

- We all know that was a political arrest and persecution, but they did not manage to fully achieve their goal – notes our source.

Incidentally, Mario Kapetanović has an open travel order for daily allowances and himself decides where and when he wants to travel.

Also, Zubac awarded a silver police badge to Slađenko Čerkez, who arrested Živko Budimir, the former President of the Federation of BiH.

Now, the Independent Board will especially need to examine the work of the Deputy Director of SIPA, Đuro Knežević, who, as our source reveals, has been disclosing strictly confidential information to Zubac for months, information that Zubac was denied by order of the Prosecutor's Office.

- Zubac leaves his cronies in SIPA, and Knežević will now perform the function of director until a new one is appointed. However, the question is whether that is correct, because he also violated the law by disclosing secret information to Zubac, to which Zubac had no right – emphasizes our source.
