Will Zubac Be Brought Before the BiH Court?

Goran Zubac did not appear at the main hearing before the Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Court of BiH this morning at 9 AM, reports Patria's reporter from the scene.

Allegedly, due to the large number of SIPA members around the Court of BiH building, who were engaged because a status conference in the Zijad Turković case was also scheduled for today, Zubac stated that he was "uncomfortable coming because the presence of SIPA special forces could be interpreted as his pressure on the Court and that he had engaged them for himself????".

However, the gathered journalists who usually follow trials concluded that SIPA members had never previously stood outside the fence of the Court of BiH building, even in cases where Turković and others were on trial.

The competent judge in the "Zubac" case stated that if the current director of SIPA does not appear before the Court of BiH on September 25, an order for his apprehension will be issued, and that his "excuse" for not appearing today is completely unacceptable.

It is more than obvious that Zubac continues to play games with all the authorities in this country. The culmination of his deliberate games, through which he is trying with all his might to remain in the position of SIPA director, is certainly today's conscious disregard for the Court of BiH, by which he has shown that, as a leading state police officer who should enforce laws, he does not respect the judicial bodies of BiH.

As a reminder, on June 16 of this year, the Court of BiH confirmed the indictment which charges the still current director of SIPA with the criminal offense of dereliction of duty because, during the protests on February 7, he ignored requests for assistance in protecting the Presidency of BiH building and refused to engage the special unit of SIPA.

Incidentally, Zubac is protected all along by Žika Krunić, who, like him, is a protégé and man of Milorad Dodik. Krunić, as the president of the Independent Board, has knowingly misled not only the public but also state bodies, avoiding acting in accordance with valid legal regulations and making a decision on the suspension of Goran Zubac.
