Prijedor Victims Found Peace, Many Political Representatives at Funeral

Victims of the genocide in Prijedor found their final peace today at eight different cemeteries, writes the Patria News Agency. Families buried 284 victims after the collective funeral prayer in Kozarac, followed by individual prayers at each cemetery.

Otherwise, several thousand citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the first collective funeral prayer in Kozarac today, and addressed the attendees were family members of the murdered, Valentin Inzko, High Representative in BiH, and Husein ef. Kavazović, Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH.

Among those present who came to pay tribute to the victims were members of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović and Željko Komšić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Zlatko Lagumdžija, Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH, Minister of Defence of BiH Zekerijah Osmić, and many other representatives of political and cultural life.

However, none of them addressed the gathered public, but it is evident from the photographs that they spoke with the victims' families.
