Air in Sarajevo is dangerous, serious consequences possible

SARAJEVO. (Patria) - Measuring stations at all locations in Sarajevo show that the air in the capital city is dangerous. According to data from the measuring station at the US Embassy in Sarajevo as of 7 AM, the air quality index is 400. Devices of the Eko akcija Association show the same values.

At Otoka, the air quality index was 218, while at Bjelave it reached a value of 370. The device near Vijećnica shows 324.

"Serious consequences are possible for the entire population! Any exertion should be avoided when outdoors. The most vulnerable categories of the population: pregnant women, the elderly, and children, people with respiratory and heart problems, should remain indoors"; stated Eko akcija.
