
(Patria) - The air in Sarajevo this morning at 8 AM was unhealthy and citizens are advised to avoid spending time outdoors, it was announced on the "Zrak.ekoakcija" website.
Measurements at 8 AM showed that the air quality index in Sarajevo was 157 at the Otoka measuring station.
The air was also characterized as unhealthy in Travnik with an air quality index of 156, in Tuzla 155, and Zenica 154.
Due to unhealthy air, increased symptoms and intensity of diseases in people with heart and respiratory organ diseases are possible.
In Jajce and Bihać, the air was characterized as moderately polluted.
Air quality index values from zero to 50 are good, from 51 to 100 moderately polluted, from 101 to 150 unhealthy for sensitive groups of the population, from 151 to 200 unhealthy, from 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 dangerous to health.
