
(Patria) - Air quality is unhealthy today in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Lukavac, according to data from the website "Zrak.ekoakcija".
According to measurements at 9:00 AM, the air quality index in Sarajevo is 194, in Banja Luka 162, in Tuzla 187 and in Lukavac 157.
Due to this air quality, increased symptoms and intensity of illness may occur in people with heart and respiratory diseases, such as asthma, while all others may begin to feel the negative impact of pollution on health.
Lung and heart patients, pregnant women, children and the elderly should reduce any physical activities outdoors, while all others should also avoid strenuous exertion.
In Zenica, Jajce and Kakanj, measurements were not taken due to a malfunction at the measuring stations.
The air quality index value from zero to 50 is good, from 51 to 100 moderately polluted, from 101 to 150 unhealthy for sensitive population groups, from 151 to 200 unhealthy, from 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 is hazardous to health.
