(Patria) - Croatian Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko (HDZ) commented on reports that she could be elected rapporteur of the European Parliament for BiH, a position so far held by Romanian Christian Dan Preda.
"It would be unusual for me, as a citizen of BiH as well, to take on that duty. There is an unwritten rule, but strictly respected in international institutions, that a person holding the citizenship of that country should not be appointed to such positions. I respect that rule, and everything I have to say about Bosnia and Herzegovina has already been formulated in the previous resolutions of the European Parliament," said Zovko.
