Zoran Zaev postpones resignation

(Patria) - The Prime Minister of North Macedonia and leader of SDSM, Zoran Zaev, stated that he will remain in office for the time being to help maintain the parliamentary majority. Zaev resigned on October 31st due to poor results in the local elections.

After the session of the Main and Executive Board of SDSM, Zaev stated that he is committed to preserving and increasing the parliamentary majority, and that is why the Board proposed postponing his resignation.

- I expect the democratic parliamentary majority to stabilize, primarily because we are oriented towards the Euro-Atlantic path, a multi-ethnic society, good neighborly relations, and positive reforms. That is why these efforts are being made. I note that even when I resigned, I said that I would dedicate myself to helping maintain the parliamentary majority - said Zaev.

Let us recall, Zaev resigned after his party SDSM suffered a defeat in Skopje, but also in almost all other major cities of North Macedonia.
