(Patria) - The "D-day" for the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has finally arrived.
Tonight, the Dragons will play the semi-final of the Euro 2024 play-off against the Ukrainian national team at the "Bilino Polje" stadium in Zenica, starting at 8:45 PM.
And if they emerge as winners in the end, on March 26th, they will play the winner of the match between Iceland and Israel at "Grbavica".
The BiH footballers had their official training session at "Grbavica" last night. Coach Savo Milošević has available players who are in good spirits, and the preparations for the important match went on in an excellent atmosphere.
This will be the fifth play-off in which the Dragons are competing for a spot in a major tournament, and the fourth consecutive one when it comes to qualifying for the Euros.
The BiH team has met the Ukrainians twice so far in the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
On their away match in Lviv, the Dragons drew 1:1, with Anel Ahmedhodžić scoring the goal for our team. In the return match in Zenica, the Ukrainians won 0:2.
Tonight's match will be officiated by Felix Zwayer from Germany, with assistants Stefan Lupp and Marco Achmüller. The fourth official is Daniel Siebert, while the VAR referees are Bastian Dankert and Christian Dingert.
We wish our Dragons the best of luck against the Ukrainians at the "Bilino Polje" stadium, which we have no doubt will be filled to the last seat tonight!
