Crime without punishment: No one has yet been held accountable for the murdered children of Goražde!

(Patria) - Exactly 32 years ago, on May 14, 1992, the first murder of children occurred in Goražde at the beginning of the aggression against this city, when Mirsad Ćulov (15) and Selvira Suljović (16) were killed in the then Sandžačkih brigade street in front of the building.

After this date, during the 1,336-day siege, continuous killings of children continued, and three decades after the horrific events, May 14 was declared the Day of Remembrance for Murdered Children in Goražde, on the initiative of Amar Imamović, and this day is also a day of mourning throughout the canton.

The Minister for Veterans' Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, Omer Osmanović, was in Goražde today.

"We must not forget the little HEROES on the Day of Murdered Children of Goražde, 14.05.2024. Unfortunately, no one has yet been held accountable for the murdered children, I call on those responsible to prosecute the war criminals," Osmanović stated.

576 children were killed in Goražde, but no one has ever been held accountable for these crimes, and the indictment against 13 members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Goražde leaves no hope for justice.

Among other things, the indictment charges two commanders, Ferid Buljubašić and Ahmet Sejdić, with war crimes against victims of Serbian nationality in Jošanica near Foča, and Sejdić additionally for crimes in the villages of Klisure, Bursići, and Hadrovići in Višegrad, and Buljubašić for crimes against civilians of Serbian nationality in the villages around Čajniče.

Precisely using the example of Goražde, as is the case in Dobrovoljačka and other examples of persecution of members of the Army of RBiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the actions of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina are questionable, which fragments cases to meet quotas, investigates and prosecutes exclusively Bosniaks, thereby changing the essence and character of wartime actions in this area.
